Rio Ferdinand and Mario Balotelli address Famous FA Cup Semi-final Fight after 12 Years
Just after the Final whistle of the 2011 FA Cup semi-final between Manchester City and Manchester United, Mario Balotelli got into a fight with Manchester United legendary defender, Rio Ferdinand, over an insightful behavior.
Balotelli winked sarcastically at Ferdinand as the players left the field and this led to a huge fight. Both players had to be separated by several teammates.

After 12 years, the pair(Mario and Ferdinand) addressed the incident at the 2023 UEFA Champions League Final Build up.
Ferdinand and Ballotelli who were present at the Build up were asked to address the issue and Rio Ferdinand said: “Mario was celebrating in front of our fans and I took offence, I wasn’t happy.
“But he was cool under pressure, as always.”
Balotelli added: “I was celebrating towards their fans so I understand why the players got angry.
“But that’s something that, to be honest, it happened on the pitch and finished on the pitch.”
