





Manchester City beat stubborn Inter Milan to Clinch First Champions League Title
Premier League Champions, Manchester City have won their very first Champions League Trophy after beating Inter Milan 1 nil in Istanbul.
Man City went into the game favourites but things did not really seem to favor them as they lost their major playmaker, Kelvin De Bruyne barely 40 minutes into the game. First Half ended goalless, both teams having shown their worth.
Man City came into the second half trying to turn the game in their favor. Their efforts paid off as they took the lead in the 68th minute after a decent strike from Rodri.
Inter Milan were very close to equalizing barely 5 minutes after City’s goal but Dimarco’s header hit the crossbar.
Foden was close to making it 2 nil in the 75th minute but his shot went straight at Onana.
Man City’s stubborn defense prevented Inter Milan from finding an equalizer, repelling all their attempts.
Inter Milan came very close again in the 88th minute but Lukaku’s header surprisingly we straight to Ederson’s legs.
The 5 additional minutes were intense. Inter Milan had a couple of chances that they failed to convert.
The game ended 1 nil in Favor of Man City.
