Breaking: Former Germany International, Mesut Özil retires from Professional Football


Former Real Madrid and Arsenal star, Mesut Özil has decided to hang his boot after failing to return to his best form.

The 34-year-old who left Arsenal in 2021 penned down a heartfelt letter to publicly announce his retirement.

Ozil is regarded as one of the best midfielders in modern football. He played for top clubs like Arsenal and Real Madrid. He was a major player in Germany’s 2014 world cup triumph.

In his 17 years of professional football, Ozil scored 81 goals and provided 253 assists.
